Code of Conduct
The 2ndQuadrant PostgreSQL Conference (2Q PGConf) is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone.
The organisers of 2Q PGConf will not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for the conference venue, including; exhibition booths, talks and social events during 2Q PGConf. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race and religion. Deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact will not be tolerated. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the 2Q PGConf conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including ejection from the conference with no refund. If you feel that you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the conference team as soon as possible. The conference team will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or the police, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.
Recording of any of the presentations during 2Q PGConf via any method, including but not limited to: cameras, phones, laptop computers or any other equipment capable of recording audio or visual content is not permitted without the prior consent of the speaker. This is to protect the intellectual property rights of our speakers’ presentation content, which is sometimes shared in confidence with the participants of the conference. If a participant is seen recording a presentation without permission, they will be asked to stop. If a participant ignores a request from the conference team to cease recording they will be expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organisers.
